E-newsletter

We use a third party provider, Mailchimp, to deliver our bi-weekly e-newsletter. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies including clear gifs to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter.

What are cookies

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer by websites that you visit. They are widely used in order to make websites work, or work more efficiently, as well as to provide information to the owners of the site. Cookies may be either “persistent” cookies which remember your preferences for repeat visits or “session” cookies which only last for the single visit made to a website.

How long we retain your data:

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data:

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where we send your data:

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service. All data is accessed through a cloud service and is not stored on any personal computer.

If you become a registered member your data allocated to our secure, cloud based database.

How we protect your data:

If you have registered to become a member of Irish Freedom, your data is stored in a secure encrypted database that is owned, operated and maintained by Irish Freedom Party representatives ONLY.
