My name is Donna O’Loughlin and I’m a mother to three children. My middle son has special needs. I fought for three years to get his full diagnosis.

I help feed the homeless every week in Limerick City and I also help out pregnant mothers with baby items and offer support.

I will be campaigning for better HSE services for special needs children like my son. I will also be campaigning to reduce the waiting times for hospital appointments for children with scoliosis.

I will fight for a complete overall of early intervention services for children. I support the fight for the carers allowance not to be means tested. As a mother to a child with extensive needs, I know the challenges families like mine face, and I will do all I can to improve services and make life a little easier for us.

The early intervention and AON needs a complete overhaul. We need more school placements and SNAs.

We need therapies to be provided by early intervention and less waiting times for assessments. We require more supports as a whole.

I will campaign for strictly controlled immigration so that our streets will be safer and our children have a chance of obtaining a home and better paid job.

I’ll seek to lower employer PRSI for small Irish firms employing less than 20 Irish citizens to encourage more jobs for Irish workers.
